Living, eating and relaxing under the benevolent eye of the mazot was our overriding wish.
A terrace facing the Mont Blanc range, a carport for winter use, and a boot under the carport for storing your skis, snowshoes, snowboards, sledges or any other mountain equipment.
Two levels for 35 m2 of living space.
In order to preserve its authenticity, certain features have been retained, such as the threshold that must be crossed to access the bedrooms, and the ceilings in the top bedroom, which are no higher than 1.80m.
Wood is everywhere, from the floor to the ceiling, and we’ve used only the finest materials to achieve this.
The mountain decor provides warmth, calm and serenity.

Inside the Chalet
This mazot-chalet comprises a living room with a pretty fitted kitchen, a living room with a certain special feature, two very special bedrooms and a bathroom.
The upstairs bedroom still has its rounded door, one metre high as it was in the old days, so you’ll have to bend down to get in. It has a 1.80 m high ceiling, is a favourite with children, and (as the comments underline) has a small mezzanine that doubles as a little hut, and its own little light.

For your enjoyment, it has a wooden terrace, equipped with a garden table and chairs, where you can enjoy your meals in peace and quiet, (electric barbecue) then you can relax on a deckchair and enjoy the Mont Blanc chain with the Aiguille du Midi rising before your eyes.

In a quiet residential hamlet, amongst old farmhouses that have been converted into a main residence.
Chalet Saint-Nicolas is ideally located near the centre of Les Houches resort. You’ll be 5 minutes from all the amenities: supermarket; restaurants; tobacconist’s and newsagent’s; bus stop.
- Les Houches train station is 1 km away.
Bus stop: Take the skibus to go skiing in Les Houches or Chamonix. Skibuses are free throughout the Mont Blanc valley. - Beginner ski slope 500m away.
- Geneva airport 45 minutes away, with numerous transport links from the airport via Les Houches/Chamonix
- Chamonix 10 minutes by car
